Absolute Security? Yes, hear what the Bible says, “Since you were precious in My sight, you have been honored, and I have loved you; therefore, I will give men for you, and people for your life.” (Isaiah 3:4) For many centuries that God had made this promise, He has been faithful in fulfilling it for His people. Some times when challenges, persecutions and radical confrontation come against the redeemed, we tend to soon forget this infallible promise of God. He is ever faithful to His word – to deny His word is a denial of Himself. A few decades ago, Haman made a plot against the Jews that were resident in the entire Persian Empire (see Esther 3). At the long run, he lost his life to the plot.

The gallows he erected to take the life of Mordecai was used to hang him (see Esther 7:9-10). Also, the lives of many natives of the empire were given in place of that of the Jews who were initially determined to be assassinated (see Esther 9:6-17). Daniel was similarly ganged up against by governors and satraps in chapter 6 of his book, and was thrown into the den of lions. But God miraculously shut the lions’ mouth, they didn’t harm him. The body of his detractors later became sumptuous breakfast for the lions when they were thrown into the same den they threw Daniel to.

Dear friend, there is absolute security for you in Christ Jesus. God is committed to going any lent to protect you when you stand for Him. He can give out anything that perfect protection of His children requires. In the scripture quoted above, He promised to even give men for your life. Instead of you to die, He will give other people’s life to preserve you. Is that not great? I think it is. Then, why are you afraid? Why do you think you will lose your life while contending earnestly for the faith? Why have you suddenly withdrawn from your fight against ungodliness in your office and in your community? Why have you stop rebuking sin and all forms of immorality in your locality? Why have you stopped evangelizing your campus? You think God is not faithful to His promise in protecting you?

No my dear, God is faithful to His promise. He’s committed to keeping you. Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness. He shall protect you from the destruction that lays waste at noonday. No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling (see Psalms 91). There is absolute security for you. Stand in Christ, by Christ and for Christ. Live your life for Him. Peace to you!
